FLOOR CARE PROGRAM

 

PRODUCTS NEEDED 

1) CCI-450; Natural Floor Cleaner

2) CCI–65; Floor Revitalizer, used for routine spray-buffing maintenance

3) CCI–SC–95; Floor Finish Stripper

4) CCI-5000; Floor Finish 25% solids

DAILY TASKS

1. Shake, vacuum and remove all matting before scrubbing.

2. Dust mop and remove any stickers using the floor scraper.

3. Freeze and scrape off any gum using the gum remover and floor scraper.

4. Scrub the desired area using pre-burnish pads.  Use the mop bucket and wringer to

    remove excess solution left by the auto scrubber and to clean those areas not reached

    by the scrubber.  Change bucket as needed.

5. Allow the floor to dry.

6. When floor is dry, burnish using peach burnish pads.

7.  Return all matting to its original location.

8.  Clean and return all equipment to its designated area.

9.  Revitalizer (CCI-65) when used in routine daily maintenance will keep flooring looking its best.

    CCI-65 special formulation of cleaners and polymers, made possible through advanced floor

    maintenance technology, is equally well-suited to use in high speed polishing machines or with

    traditional spray-buffing and mop-buffing technologies.  Please read the label on the product

    for specific directions.

 

SCRUB & RECOAT PROCEDURE

1. Shake, vacuum and remove all matting before scrubbing.

2. Dust mop and remove any stickers using the floor scraper.

3. Freeze and scrape off any gum using the gum remover and floor scraper.

4. Fill the auto scrubber solution tank with water and add 1:10 of CCI-450 (DAILY CLEANER).

   “And/or” Fill a bucket equipped with a wringer with water and add 1:10 of CCI-450

    (DAILY CLEANER).

5. Place scrub pads on the auto scrubber.

6. If using an auto scrubber, apply the CCI-450 (DAILY CLEANER) solution with the pads down

     and the squeegee up.

7. Work the area until all penetrated dirt has been removed.

8.  Lower the squeegee and pick up the dirty solution.

9.  Rinse with clear water.

10. Allow the floor to dry.  If all dirt has not been removed, repeat steps 7 – 11 until the floor

      is clean.

11. If using an auto scrubber machine and wet/dry vacuum, use the mop bucket to spread the

     CCI-450 (DAILY CLEANER) and proceed as above until the penetrated dirt has been

     removed.

12. Apply 2 coats of CCI-5000 Floor Finish (25%) using a clean mop bucket and finish mop.

     DO NOT APPLY FINISH OVER ANY AREA THAT HAS NOT BEEN SCRUBBED CLEAN.

     Apply at an average rate of 1000 – 1100 square feet to the gallon.

 

STRIPPING PROCEDURE

1.Shake, vacuum and remove all matting before scrubbing.

2. Dust mop and remove any stickers using the floor scraper.

3. Freeze and scrape off any gum using the gum remover and floor scraper.

4. Fill mop buckets ½ full with water.  Use clean mops.  Fill auto scrubber with clean cold water.  Add 1-pint defoamer to auto scrubber recovery tank.

5. Place stripping pads on the auto scrubber.

6. Use a clean barrel to mix 3units of water to 1 unit of stripper.

7.  Apply the stripper solution with a mop, being careful not to splash counters or baseboards.

8.  Let soak for 15 minutes.  If any area begins to dry out, reapply the stripping solution (CCI-CS-95 – Stripper).

9.  Scrub the area using the auto scrubber.  Keep the machine at least 4 inches away from edges to avoid splatter.

10. Use the auto scrubber and/or the wet dry vacuum to pick up the spent stripping solution.

11. Rinse the area with clean water, changing water as needed.  Let floor dry.

12. Apply 2-5 coats of CCI-5000 Floor Finish.  Allow a minimum of 30 minutes drying time between coats.  (May need 2 nights).

13.  Clean all equipment and return equipment and mats to their appropriate locations. 

 

Caution

Before cleaning, place wet floor signs around work area. Always place wet floor signs when working with any liquid on the floor. Do not remove the signs until the floor is dry and safe to walk on.  Always consult the store policy regarding cleaning floors and the policy regarding wet floors. Do not vary from the written store policy. Talk to your manager regarding the store policies.
