SURFACE PREPARATION... back to top
Surface
must be clean, dry and free of all foreign contaminates (oil,
grease, dirt, dust, cleaners, etc). After cleaning the surface
be sure all residue is removed with clean water. Be sure not only to
remove all chemical residue but also dust, vacuum or sweep. Read all
product labels and instructions. Always do a test area with all
products in an inconspicuous area before project starts to assure
desired results and compatibility of all products, and
approval.
APPLICATION... back to top
Pour dye
contents of bottle into1 gallon of acetone or alcohol. Shake well to disperse the
dyeing
agents. Concrete
sub-straight must be clean and dry before applying dye. Apply dye with a cone tip
pump sprayer that is compatible with acetone and/or alcohol. Spray uniform coat and avoid
letting the product pool in low spots. Dye will dry to touch in
approximately 1 - 5 minutes.
For removal of dyes agent residue use an auto scrubber with
white pad and water and/or a mop and water. Technical Data sheet
will have expanded product directions regarding using the dyes with
polished concrete, sealing and coating the concrete surfaces.
RESADUE REMOVAL:
Allow
initial rinse water to dwell for a few minutes in order to loosen
residues, if vacuuming surface do only after initial residue
removal. It is normal
to have slight coloring/tinting in the rinse water. If dye residues
are not rinsed properly coating, sealers and/or densifiers will not
adhere correctly and will lift off giving the appearance of dye
release off the surfaces during and after the job is complete. The coverage rate is
approximately 400-600 sq. ft. per gallon depending on the surface and
color desired more then one coat maybe
needed.
WARNING ? Use only as
directed. Once dye is
mixed with acetone or alcohol, contents will be highly flammable and
may cause flash fires.
During use and until vapors are gone: keep properly
ventilated and keep away from heat, sparks or open flames (pilot
light). A non-explosive
ventilation system may be required to achieve proper
ventilation. Harmful if
inhaled. Keep out of
reach of children. In
case of emergency call 911 and/or 1-800-535-5053
