SURFACE PREPARATION...
Old Concrete must be clean,
sound, dry and free of all
foreign materials such as oils,
grease, loose paint, dust and
laitance. This may be
accomplished by sand blasting or
scarifying, followed by an air
blast to remove dust and debris
from the application area. New
concrete should be acid etched,
rinsed thoroughly and allowed to
dry
APPLICATION...
CCI-710 provides a smooth,
high-gloss finish and
exceptional UV stability. This
product should be applied in two
coats; the first coat being 5-6
mils and the second being 10-12
mils. Mix Entire Part A and Part
B prior to adding the hardener.
Once activated, the material
should be poured on to the
substrate and spread at desired
coverage using a squeegee. A
3/8” non-shedding roller should
be used to evenly distribute and
finish the coating. First coat
approximately 225 sq. ft.,
second coat 175 sq. ft. per
gallon. The second coat, if
required, should be applied when
the first coat is tack-free,
which is normally 6-8 hours.
MIXING AND APPLICATION
-
Stir each component
separately.
-
Clear: Mix 2 volumes of part
A with 1 volume of part B.
-
Pigmented: Mix 1 volume of
part A with 1 volume of part
B.
Mix thoroughly, being sure to
scrape the sides and bottom,
with a strong mixing stick or
slow-speed drill equipped with a
paint propeller.
Do not mix more than can be
applied in 15-20 minutes (Pot
Life).
As a coating, apply mixed
material by brush or roller.
For best results, two coats
should be applied. Allow the
first coat to cure overnight.
Apply the second coat within 24
hours. If more time than 24
hours has elapsed, a light
sanding of the first coat is
required. CCI-710 can be placed
as thick as desired on
horizontal surfaces without
affecting the cure.
When slip proofing is required,
broadcast sand, emery or
carborundum into the first coat
while still tacky. Apply the
second coat to seal.
