DESCRIPTION

TOUGH-SHELL #593 is used for interior or exterior applications where a premium clear durable sealer is required for protecting chemically stained, stamped and architectural colored concrete. 

TOUGH-SHELL # 593 is an emulsion of modified acrylic resin. The unique acrylic emulsion of TOUGH-SHELL #593 exhibits great resistance to oil and gasoline products. TOUGH-SHELL #593 is recommended for commercial, industrial and residential use. TOUGH-SHELL #593 can be applied to floors, walls, concrete and brick surfaces

  1. Use of respirators is mandatory when using this product in confined areas.

  2. Use only with adequate ventilation.

  3. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.

TOUGH-SHELL is packaged in 1 gallon units, 5 gallon units and 55-gallon units. Shelf life is one year if properly stored in its sealed container. Rotate your stock.

 

SURFACE PREPARATION... back to top

Surface must be clean, dry and free of all foreign contaminates (oil, grease, dirt, dust, cleaners, etc).  After cleaning the surface be sure all residue is removed with clean water. Be sure not only to remove all chemical residue but also dust, vacuum or sweep. Read all product labels and instructions. Always do a test area with all products in an inconspicuous area before project starts to assure desired results and compatibility of all products, and approval.

 

APPLICATION... back to top

Product is supplied at the proper consistency for application, as dilution will reduce efficiency.

Apply by low-pressure sprayer with neoprene fittings.  The sprayer must be clean and dry.  Clean sprayer as directed, between applications to ensure best results. If sprayer is not available, use a brush or short nap roller.  Coat uniformly leaving no gaps, slips or excess.  Mix well before use.  Do not apply more material per gallon than specified.

Apply TOUGH-SHELL to surfaces that are structurally sound and cleared of all dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter. Apply at 350-400 sq.ft /gal.on hard porous floors and 250-300 sq.ft./gal on porous floors. A second coat is recommended for long-term durability.   After application of the first coat, a second coat may be applied, typically, when the surface has dried tack free. Material will dry in less than 4 hours at 72°F.  Apply second coat at 400-450 sq.ft/gal.
